Cheese Crisps – Excellent Keto Snack Option
Are you interested in following a Keto diet? I recently switched over – I feel like I am one of the last holdouts – though I know thats not true. To follow a Keto diet I need to make sure I have plenty of options for every person in the house. Some need snack options while others focus on the meals. A snack option that is a huge hit are Keto Cheese Crisps. You really cannot get easier than this. I actually make like four packages of cheese at one time and each package fills up two large cookie sheets.
This is also a relatively inexpensive snack option. I go to Aldi’s and purchase cheese. Today I purchased mild cheddar and colby jack. Colby jack is definitely our favorite!
These are packaged as regular square sized slices – probably 4×4 – I didn’t measure them. I use a large cookie sheet or pizza pan and line it with parchment paper (I love parchment paper).
Break each full size square into four smaller squares. Place each square on the parchment paper with at least a half inch of space between each so they don’t melt together (lesson learned the hard way).
Place in the oven at 350 degrees for approximately ten minutes. It depends on the thickness of the cheese. You will know they are done when the outer edges are brown and the cheese is all bubbly.
Remove from the oven and once cooled and hardened (slightly) you can remove from the parchment and place into a container for storage.
Store in the refrigerator.
